Welcome to Brown County Appraisal District!

Within this site you will find general information about the District and the ad valorem
property tax system in Texas, as well as information regarding specific properties within the
district.

Our offices are located at 403 Fisk at the corner of Anderson in downtown Brownwood. Office hours are from 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. We observe each of the following holidays: New Year's Day, MLK Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day (Thurs. & Fri.), Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
